Scope of hospital management in india
With few exceptions, hospital management, in its present form is not a great career. Hospitals are very poor paymaster as compared to other industries. For a fresher with masters degree in hospital management, the starting CTC would be around 4 LPA, which is not even 50% of the average CTC offered to regular MBA students of any good institute. Growth is also slow and limited. Even if one becomes chief of hospital, the pay difference from chief of organization from any other sector will be very high. Instead of hospital management, healthcare management has a much brighter career. It do not limits one to hospitals, as it keeps door open for public health, healthcare IT, health insurance, medical devices, pharmaceuticals etc.
